The Presbyterian Church in the USA recently divested itself of the stocks of three companies they see as supporting the Israeli occupation: Caterpillar, HP and Motorola. As in all hot button issues, the Church's actions in divesting themselves of the stock was the take away message while their confirmation of Israel's right to exist among other pro-Israeli statements were submerged in the flotsam and jetsam in the media. But what other options were possible to protest bulldozing homes and other incomprehensible actions against Palestinians? Perhaps a strong dose of Christian charitas to the people of Israel should have accompanied the actions against the Israeli government. Perhaps a large donation to Hadassah Hospital that provides services to all peoples in Israel and Palestine would have reinforced true Christian principles. Investing in the Israeli people produces a better return. from Infoaddict
