    Plastic pollution research boat arrives in Reykjavik today


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     While visiting a harbor in Reykjavik, Iceland, ander, saw a ship arrive and decided to speak to some of the people on the vessel on June 28. The woman he interviews in his first video joined an expedition with 5 Gyres, a nonprofit conservation group that has been traveling through the ocean doing research on plastic particles in the water, according to Sigurdsson.

    A plastic pollution research boat with a 14 person international crew is
    arrived in Reykjavik today at noon .
    The boat is part of the organization 5 Gyres, the only research institute in the world to do plastic pollution research in all five oceanic gyres.
    The findings are grim --plastic in every single sample from Bermuda to Iceland.
