    Tiger Cubs Born in Maine

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     There’s a new collection of tigers at an animal sanctuary in Maine, and it will make you squeal with joy. Stephen Jordan, a volunteer with DEW Animal Kingdom and Sanctuary in Mt. Vernon, Maine, photographed the non-profit zoo's new tiger cubs. The three cubs were born on June 8. Two of the cubs are male and are white in coloring while the third is a female with orange coloring. Jordan, who has volunteered with the animal sanctuary for seven years, was delighted to hear the news of the newborn cubs. 'The tiger population worldwide can use more tigers and the ones born in captivity are safer than those in the wild,’ he said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

On June 8th three tiger cubs were born at D.E.W. Animal Kingdom in Mt. Vernon Maine. These are the first tiger cubs ever born in the state and two of the three cubs (male) are white like their mother Makeena and the third (female) is the traditional color like their father Triton.
