This year’s Gay Pride Parade celebrates the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots which launched the modern gay right movement in 1969.

More than 1 million people lined the parade route which kicked off on 5th Avenue and 36th street and ended in the West Village-Greenwich and Christopher street.
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo marched in this year’s parade.

Manhattan was a sea of rainbow colors with flags waving and colorful costumes and floats.
