    Sound off

Violent police whilst handling protesters in Hong Kong

As of 03:50am here in Hong Kong, after a whole day of demonstration rally, some have chosen to stay at the Charter Road Garden in Central to further protest and voice out their opinion.
Scholarism, an organisation founded by a group of youngsters in Hong Kong have initiated a rehearsal of "Occupy Central", where many have joined.
Police officers have asked the present press reporters to leave the site earlier on and are now clearing out the citizens one by one.
From the live broadcast on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhBebtXaIC8&index=2&list=PLQcmGU2t4gsoOf7xY_SouN11GFeeHcxLw) and 71live (http://new.livestream.com/vdo/71live), several violence acts were spotted during the clearing of citizens by police officers.
It is unthinkable of what the police officers would do should all the reporters have left the site and should no one have recorded it live.
This has never happened in Hong Kong before since 1997, the handover of HKSAR to Chinese Government. It reflects exactly how dissatisfied Hongkongers are towards the HKSAR government.

As a current university student, I fear that this might be the worst situation we are facing since the handover. I do not wish to lose my freedom and I do not want to see political oppression in my city. I fear that there will not be another chance for us to voice out if we do not do it now.

Please spread this internationally, DO NOT LET HONG KONG BECOME ANOTHER CHINA.
