    The Eagle

     
    Since 2009, the State Government has invested more than $ 15 million for the purchase of four model Squirrel AS-350-B2 helicopter, which will complete the air patrol in the state. With the investment, for the regions of Presidente Prudente, Sorocaba, Piracicaba and São José do Rio Preto, all nine seats of police command of Interior (CPI) possess at least one aircraft. In addition to this lot, the PM of the state capital will receive another helicopter Eagle, in 2010, with funds from the City of São Paulo.

    Until September 2010, the fleet of 27 aircraft will be PM. Today, there are 16 model helicopters Squirrel, a helicopter, small business, acquired in 2008 at a cost of £ 850 000 and used for training of pilots and six aircraft for troop transport, organ, and personnel, escorts and for environmental monitoring.

    In March this year, the Military Police of Presidente Prudente inaugurated the permanent air patrols in the region, with investment from the State Government, at $ 6.1 million. The helicopter operates with three pilots and ten policemen, including crew and mechanics.

    The inauguration of the Air Patrol in Sao Jose do Rio Preto is scheduled for the first half of 2010, as well as delivery of aircraft to the regions of Sorocaba and Piracicaba. The helicopter will be in the Capital should be delivered in September this year.

    Technical specifications of the Eagle

    The new helicopters have seating for six people and are equipped with radios scanned - that enable communication without the risk of interception; 'Moving Map' - a small computer on board the aircraft, which provides route maps and charts of a municipality; searchlight to locate people during the night; winch to rescue people and objects; medical rescue equipment - litter removal, resuscitation equipment, oxygen apparatus and ropes and hooks, fit for redemption; skiing with extended step; platform with stair for loading and unloading of crew with greater safety; and Garmin GPS - handle high definition coordinates, which has better quality and easily accessible interface.

    Aeromedical rescue - Supports advanced life, carrying doctors, nurses, equipment and materials to the site of occurrence in the shortest possible time, for the pre-hospital care.

    Aeromedical Removal - Transfer of patient from one hospital to another.

    Transportation of organs - relevant Service, provided by the Air Grouping with the use of airplanes or helicopters of the PM fleet.

    Ostensible Policing - A study in Los Angeles (USA), in the 60s, concluded that a helicopter mission in preventive equals 15 police cars. A single aircraft can support up to 37 vehicles.

    Policing Shock - It is used in efforts to control civil unrest (demonstrations, riots in prisons, protests, repossessions and other). In addition to serving as an observation deck, the helicopter helps maintain control over large areas, receiving and transmitting information, providing commanders involved better basis for their decisions. The aircraft are still employed in the transportation of specialized teams such as Tactical Actions Group Special (Gate); and the Command and Special Operations (COE), among others.

    Traffic policing - Acts as an observation platform. Why not be limited in their movement, respecting the weather and operational conditions, the helicopter works in conjunction with the Traffic Policing and the Traffic Engineering Company (CET). Conducts flights over the metropolitan region of São Paulo, watching the flow of vehicles and detecting bottlenecks and their causes, to guide ground crews.

    Environmental Policing - The flights with the aircraft allow inspection teams have access to, the air, the points which could not be detected by land routes. This action streamlines the work of teams of land for the assessment of offenders. For this mission are also employed planes of Air Reverse Split.

    Firefighting - In large fires, helicopters have multiple applications: overall assessment to allow for proper planning of combat; rescue of victims or technical teams surrounded by fire; material transport; and throwing water on the fire outbreaks.

    Civil Defense - In recent years, in large disasters in Sao Paulo and even in other states, as in Santa Catarina, the helicopters showed versatility rescuing victims, providing aid to flagellate population, rescuing people stranded, carrying food, medicine, medical teams and even human blood for emergency surgery.

    Transportation of organs - is also an important service provided by Grouping with use of airplanes or helicopters.

    Desde 2009, o Governo do Estado vem investindo mais de US$ 15 milhões na compra de quatro helicópteros modelo Esquilo AS-350-B2, que irão completar a patrulha aérea no Estado. Com o investimento, destinado às regiões de Presidente Prudente, Sorocaba, Piracicaba e São José do Rio Preto, todas as nove sedes de Comando de Policiamento do Interior (CPI) possuirão pelo menos uma aeronave. Além deste lote, a PM da capital paulista receberá outro helicóptero Águia, ainda em 2010, com recursos da Prefeitura de São Paulo.

    Até setembro de 2010, a frota da PM será de 27 aeronaves. Hoje, são 16 helicópteros modelo Esquilo, um helicóptero de pequeno porte, adquirido em 2008 pelo valor de R$ 850 mil e usado para a formação de pilotos, e seis aviões para transporte de tropas, de órgãos, e de pessoal, de escoltas e para fiscalização ambiental.

    No mês de março deste ano, a Polícia Militar de Presidente Prudente inaugurou o patrulhamento aéreo permanente na região, com investimento do Governo do Estado, de R$ 6,1 milhões. O helicóptero opera com três pilotos e dez policiais militares, entre tripulantes e mecânicos.

    A inauguração da Patrulha Aérea em São José do Rio Preto está prevista para o primeiro semestre de 2010, assim como entrega das aeronaves para as regiões de Sorocaba e Piracicaba. O helicóptero que ficará na Capital deverá ser entregue em setembro deste ano.

    Especificações técnicas do Águia

    Os novos helicópteros têm capacidade para seis pessoas e são equipados com rádios digitalizados – que permitem a comunicação sem o risco de interceptação; ‘Moving Map’ – um pequeno computador a bordo da aeronave, que fornece mapas e cartas de rotas de um município; farol de busca para localização de pessoas durante o período da noite; guincho para resgate de pessoas e objetos; equipamentos médicos de resgate – maca para remoção, equipamentos de ressuscitação, aparelhos para oxigênio e cordas e ganchos, próprios para resgate; esqui com degrau estendido; plataforma com degrau para embarque e desembarque de tripulantes com maior segurança; e GPS Garmin – identificador de coordenadas de alta definição, que possui interface de melhor qualidade e de fácil acesso.

    Missões atendidas

    Resgate aeromédico - Suportes avançados de vida, transportando médicos, enfermeiros, equipamentos e materiais necessários até o local da ocorrência, no menor tempo possível, para o atendimento pré-hospitalar.

    Remoção aeromédica – Transferência de paciente de um hospital a outro.

    Transporte de órgãos - Serviço relevante, prestado pelo Grupamento Aéreo com a utilização dos aviões ou helicópteros da frota da PM.

    Policiamento Ostensivo - Um estudo realizado na cidade de Los Angeles (EUA), na década de 60, concluiu que um helicóptero na missão preventiva equivale a 15 viaturas policiais. Uma única aeronave pode dar suporte para até 37 viaturas.

    Policiamento de Choque - É usado nas ações de controle de distúrbios civis (passeatas, rebeliões em presídios, protestos, reintegrações de posse e outras). Além de servir como plataforma de observação, o helicóptero ajuda a manter o controle sobre extensas áreas, recebendo e transmitindo informações, proporcionando aos comandantes envolvidos melhor embasamento para suas decisões.
