This iReport is part of an assignment:
Pre-Natural Celebration In Astorias, Queens, NY
Two days before the 4th of July we are beginning to celebrate The Independence Day of The United States.
Today, a good portion of the East Cost has started the night with fireworks exploding in different shapes, coloring the dark sky in bright orange with prolonged sounds.
Mother Nature is in charge. We are now in the mood “Hurricane” or hopefully a tropical storm baptized “Arthur”. Evacuations are in place in North Caroline and the Weather Channel is very active warning people who live in the target areas and visitors.
My daughter lives in N.Y. and sent me the picture above and I found it amazing. She gave me permission to post it for CNN I report.
In the place where I live, Oakton VA we have warnings, power off and on and so on.
Hopping Arthur go away and let us to celebrate the 4th of July with happiness, but we all know that hurricanes and storms are another challenge we have to deal with in summer here in the USA!
