Hurricane Arthur Kill Devil Hills, NC ( Colington Island).

Hurricanes are always an adventure, this one in particular. It kept us on our toes, mainly worrying would it be an ocean or sound surge? During Hurricane Irene we were devastated with with sound surge damage. So many lost so much.We pray that is not the case with Arthur. I live on an island that has Kill Devil Hills as the mailing address. Colington Island measures @2.5 by 2 miles, it is closed as of now. These photos are from dock overlooking our canal. The water was almost to the top of the bulkhead and dock/pier. It has receeded some with low tide
We are keeping our fingers crossed for high tide.
