    No Justice No Peace

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     KCRep has been following the Kelly Thomas case since in began. She documented protesters outside the Fullerton Police Department in California, calling for justice for Thomas, earlier this year. Thomas was a homeless man who was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was allegedly beaten to death by three members of the Fullerton Police Department in July 2011. In January 2014, two former members of the police department were acquitted of second-degree murder charges in the case surrounding Thomas' death.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Protesting in front of the Fullerton Police Dept. Six police officers beat to death a homeless, defenseless mentally ill Kelly Thomas three years and 6 days ago. Three officers were cleared and three were fired but found not guilty in court. Federal charges may still be filed though. This is one of many protests held in Fullerton over the last three years. Up until this last protest, the police had basically left us all alone. During this protest the police got involved even calling a swat team in. Walking down major streets, especially without a permit, was the reason the police got involved. Most left quietly but a few didn't and were arrested. This video was taken by me at the protest, it was the last protest before the verdict came down. In the second video, the crowd had dispersed, there are a few swat team members advancing right at me. I quickly left...

The last picture is the family of Kelly Thomas.
