Beware: Luggage Looting at Ninoy Aquino International Airport

Just arrived from Ceby City last night, July 12, 2014, 7:00pm on board Philippine Airlines flight PR2862. The flight attendant announced that our luggage will be available at carousel number 1 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2.

In Cebu City I checked-in 2 boxes which were all tape sealed, and a bag. The last box came but it was opened, tape seal broken, and 3 packs of dried goods were taken. I talk to the guard assigned at the carousel overseeing the baggage handlers and he only said he didn't see anyone opening boxes. I saw his ID and company pin, he's also a PAL employee.

I told the incident to a police officer who passed by the carousel and saw me taking photos who said, "This is a perennial problem at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Go ahead and make your report to media so that those baggage handlers get their lesson".
