New Country Gives CT Children’s Medical Center Patients Ride Of Their Lives

New Country Motor Car Group Dealerships in Hartford continued its partnership with the Ferrari Club of New England for its event to raise money for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Not only was New Country a Gold sponsor of the 14th Annual Concorso Ferrari and Friends fundraising event on June 29th in West Hartford, but the company also supplied six chauffeur-driven Mercedes Benz and BMW cars for the families who had children in the parade. The “Parade of Kids” kicked off from Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Farmington with 40 luxury Italian automobiles each personally escorting a young child to West Hartford Center, where they arrived to the sound of thousands of cheering fans.

“As car fanatics, we just love seeing the kids’ faces light up when they get to ride in an exotic sports car,” said Tim Parker, General Manager of New Country BMW and MINI. “This is the sixth year we have supported this event. Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is an incredible institution and we will do anything that we can do to brighten a child’s day who is being treated at the hospital.” he added.

Every year, the Ferrari Club of America-New England Region showcases hundreds of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Alfa Romeos, Maseratis and other unique Italian automobiles at its premiere car exhibition. In the past 14 years, Concorso has raised over $1,000,000 for deserving children’s charities. This year, the venue attracted more than 10,000 spectators and raised $80,000 to support the new, state-of-the-art, Cardiovascular Care Center at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

“The Concorso Ferrari and Friends is a much-anticipated, high-profile event. We are fortunate to have sponsors, like New Country Motor Cars, who help us give our children and families the care they deserve,” said Martha Schall, President of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation.
