With a score of 1:0 against Argentina, Germany has succeeded to become Soccer World Champion 2014 or FIFA-WM Weltmeister 2014 once again after 24 years. To celebrate this awesome victory, some 15,000 fans invaded the streets of downtown West Berlin for an after party and car parade. They climbed lamp posts, ignited fireworks and flares, and paraded with their cars and motorcycles waving flags and honking their horns. The police did not interfere, taking the wild party with a grain of salt and just monitored it to ensure public safety. Public transportation came to a standstill and did not resume until daybreak. On Tuesday, the triumphant German team will return home from Brazil to host the biggest party of the year at the Berlin Fanmeile (fan mile) at the Brandenburg Gate!
