Both Obama and McCain agreed that "Curing Autism" will be a crucial isdsue for our country in the coming years. The BIG difference is the McCain is counting on Sarah Palin, mother of a baby with Down Syndrome, who she spent 3 days with her baby before going back to work full time as his expert advisor, saying nobody in America is in a better position to cure autism. This was an OUTRAGEOUS statement for any person, therapist, doctor, teacher, or family member of a child dealing with autism on a daily basis to hear. Sarah Palin has NO CLUE WHAT PEOPLE WITH AUTISM FACE, WHO TO BEST TEACH THEM, WHAT CAUSES AUTISM, OR HOW TO CURE IT.  If she understood, she would have discussed it a long time ago. Has she even read 10 books on the subject? I have read hundreds, seen dozens of top doctors and worked with the top people all over the country for over 13 years.  She would not know where to begin. McCain judgement is totally wrong on this critical issue and so many others! Obama -08
