Methods Of iPhone 5S / 5C Unlocking: DMCA Legality Updated

When the lone Librarian of Congress decided two years ago that unlocking your own mobile phone violated copyright protections, the entire industry that relied on cell phone unlocking was turned upside down overnight. Since then a slue of legislation has both succeeded and failed the House and Senate, making the uncertainty of unlocking even more confusing. However the cell phone unlocking God's must have heard the prayers of the industry because just this week the Senate Judiciary Committee advanced a bill that will once and for all put the matter to rest. Even though it is completely legal to unlock your own Apple iPhone 5S, 5C, 5 device, there is too much confusion about what is legal and what is not legal when deciding what to do. This iReport covers the basic aspects of the industry and the public outcry for more availability to unlock one's iPhone. As of this moment, there are only a handful of licensed third-party companies who are approved by Apple to unlock their devices. For information in this report we spoke with one of them called

You will gain a brand new sense of independence when you unlock iPhone 5S. No longer tied to one specific carrier, you will be able to benefit from the lower rates and larger calling areas of other services, all while being able to keep your current iPhone 5S/5C. Unlocking is a cost effective alternative to buying a new iPhone when you wish to switch carriers. You will also feel confident in the unlocking process, which is far safer than other options.

The iPhone 5S and 5C devices run off the Apple telecommunications operating system, also known as the iOS, which was just updated for iOS 8 version. Telecom companies pay a good chunk of money to develop their own SIM cards that will allow them to sell and provide service to the iPhone. In return, Apple locks these phones so that they will only be able to accept the SIM card from a specific carrier. This means that you usually cannot take your iPhone to other carriers.
Another thing that locked iPhones cannot do is download apps outside of the official app store. Even if you find an app you want that could work with the iOS, you could still be restricted to the App store. Often these apps cost money that you could save if you could only download a cheaper, or even free alternative.
An expert with knowledge of the iOS and access to the Apple database can unlock iPhone 5S technology, making it easy to take your phone to new carriers. Once you unlock your iPhone, many network providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile will all be willing to provide you with a SIM card for your service needs.
Factory is a fully supported process that the manufacturer actually recommends as an alternative to harmful and dangerous jailbreaking software. (You can read more about jailbreaking below.) Unlocking an iPhone requires no software at all, as you just need your phone's IMEI code. An expert in unlocking can use this code to unlock your iPhone, freeing you to not only switch carriers, but download those apps that were previously unavailable to you!

Unlocking an iPhone is safer than jailbreaking for many reasons. In recent years there has been a lot of discussion about the hazards of jailbreaking software, and with good reason! Jailbreaking not only takes up space on your iPhone, it can be harmful to the systems that make your iPhone run. These programs are developed by unauthorized persons and must be downloaded from shady sources that may give your computer viruses. Sometimes a program will be promoted as an iPhone unlock, only to turn out to be malware in disguise. The dangers are numerous, including infecting your phone with viruses, collecting your personal data, or even making your iPhone completely useless!
An iPhone 5S unlock is different. Unlocking is performed by professionals who are familiar with the software, not hackers or malicious people who only want to harm you or your phone. There is no software to download with an unlock service.
Better yet, unlocking is completely supported by both the manufacturer and cell service carriers. Apple even offers phones that are already unlocked! Carriers will often reject an iPhone 5S that has been obviously jailbroken, which is not the case when you use an iPhone 5S unlock service. Some carriers even offer to unlock the iPhone themselves, but this usually requires some exorbitant fees.

A professional unlocking service is going to be your best bet to unlock your phone without having to buy a new phone or pay a carrier's large fees. These services are very efficient at what they do because they specialize only in unlocking. Their processes are specifically designed to unlock your iPhone right from the Apple database, meaning your phone will be just like the unlocked phones that Apple sells itself. Carriers will usually require you to not only pay for unlocking, but also buy a plan with them. (This often traps you with them for two years or even longer!)
Unlocking services are typically not associated with carriers, which means you do not have to worry about getting pressured into accepting a contract just to get your phone unlocked. These services often charge much less than the fees you can incur with carrier-based unlocks. This means that you can unlock your iPhone and still be able to shop around for the absolute best carriers and rates that suit your needs.
Just about everyone with an iPhone can benefit from the freedom unlocking can bring. Without the worry of harm from hackers or the money-draining after effects of going to a carrier, factory unlocking is absolutely the best option to gain your cellular freedom back.

The hopes are high for the newly advanced Senate bill to pass and be signed by the president. It wasn't long ago when a petition on the website garnered 100,000 signatures which got the attention and approval of President Obama for cell phone unlocking legislation to clear up the legality misconceptions.
