Virtual Interior Design Gaming App Will Benefit a Great Cause

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – After more than two years in the interior design and home staging business, KMW Interiors founder Kita Marie Williams is looking to make her mark on the digital world while giving back to a great cause. The designer is attempting to create a visually advanced home design and decoration gaming app. She plans to donate 10% of the proceeds of the app’s sales directly to Habitat for Humanity.

“I’ve seen a few simple dream home games on my iPhone and tablet and I always felt that they can go further visually” the designer explains. “I’ve always wanted to tap into the digital market and I feel that this project will help me do just that and enable me to give more to a cause that is dear to my heart”. Kita Williams has been keeping up with Habitat for Humanity projects for more than 5 years, and now that her business is humming along quite well, the designer is taking this opportunity to expand her horizons and do more for the organization. However, such an app requires a considerable amount of capital to get it off the ground. The designer is turning to the popular crowdfunding site Indigogo to raise funds for the project.

“When I spoke to app developers I got the same response” Kita recalls, “They all told me that app will cost around $100,000 to develop and will need to have an initial comprehensive promotional program to gain the attention of potential partners and investors. Crowdfunding is pretty much the only way I’ll get this game off the ground”.

Kita’s initial campaign goal is to raise $10,000 to start the initial promotional phase, which is key to getting complete funding for the app’s development. “I know this is a pretty bold endeavor…” notes the designer, “But, I’m very passionate about the idea and I know that people will love it”. Kita has been in talks with the app development company BrandCrux who will oversee the creation of the initial promotional campaign, game mock-ups and complete app development.

How the App Works (From Indigogo Campaign Page):
Available on iPhone, Android, Google Play and more, this would be a perfect simulation app to decorate your virtual home with the best furniture and other household items available today! Users would be able to Increase their home value with new household items, customize floors and walls by choosing from predefined decorative items and expand their home with more rooms through in-app purchases or through points.
