Searching for perfection in a car

My search for the perfect car continues, and it is getting more difficult to select one because options are increasing. Luxury cars keep receiving upgrades that make them a tempting choice, and they tend to depreciate at a slower rate than other types of vehicles. This can actually influence the lease or loan because slower depreciation is more attractive to lenders.

It is possible to divide vehicles into two segments: luxury cars vs. practical cars, but it is becoming more difficult to tell them apart. Since many features have become standard in both types of cars, it is not easy to make a decision. However, technology and the latest gadgets still offer a way to differentiate between them.

A comparison of several luxury vehicles can reveal that some features may be shared, but each one attempts to stand out from the crowd. The Buick LaCrosse and Audi A4 are both sedans that promise style while keeping the drivers’ needs in mind. The LaCrosse features a heated steering wheel, special sunshade for the back seat and its own power outlet. The A4 features a Wi-Fi hotspot, 14 speakers and automatic sensors for rain. These cars have the usual ABS, stability controls and other additions, but it is the extras that make them tempting.

Gadgets have invaded cars, and Bluetooth is no longer the only option. The days of being satisfied with a radio or CD player are gone and have been replaced with iPods and advanced sound systems. Cars have become mini entertainment centers while technology advancements have allowed for easy integration. Drivers have been able to take advantage of these upgrades and connect them to their own gadgets. The ability to download or upload information from a smartphone while in the car is one feature that has made staying connected a simpler process.

Although entertainment is a popular area for technology advances, safety is another option that needs to be considered. Many of the changes in recent years have focused on making cars safer on the road while making the life of the driver easier. Technology such as lane departure warnings and side blind zone alerts keep the driver informed of the conditions around them at all times. In addition, features like rear cross traffic alerts rely on radar to maintain safety. Drivers must still keep their eyes on the road, but these additions can make avoiding an accident easier.
