Get Grateful Kids With Dinnertime Discussions!

Dinnertime Discussions® for getting Happier & More Grateful Children

Before we get to this week's tip for getting happier & more grateful children, and for being happier & more grateful yourself, I just want to remind you of something: These tips that we're doing each week are super simple, they're easy and they're fun. But remember, common sense, isn't always common practice.

Knowing you should be more grateful and actually being more grateful are two very different things. So when you hear these tips and they seem really basic or simple, the question is are you going to do it this week? Are you going to do it with your children this week? Because if you don't, all the knowledge in the world, all of the information in the world doesn't do you any good if you don't use it.

So this week I challenge you to do the tip. Each week, please do the tip because they're simple and fun and think about this, while each week it seems like you're doing just one little thing, think of the cumulative effect over 52 weeks, over a year, five years, 10 years of doing super simple things with your family. Just think of all of the gratitude and happiness you're brining into your life and into your home just by doing one simple thing a week!

So that's it, just a quick reminder that we all have to practice what we preach, that we need to do these things and not just know these things, myself included!

Ok, this week's super simple tip for busy moms, dads and families is really easy - we're going to do some Dinnertime Discussions® with our kids. Dinnertime Discussions® are going to help us connect with our children and bring more gratitude and happiness into our lives.

So tonight go around the table and ask each person:

    1. What are you most grateful for today?

    2. What three good things happened today?

    That's it, super simple right?

Well it is, but if you want some additional Tips for Success (when and how to do the Dinnertime Discussions® if you don't eat together every night, what happens if someone doesn't want to do it, etc.) then be sure to watch the video!

Make sure to sign up for email updates over at www.CheriFogarty.com to get all of our tips, tools and strategies for getting happier & more grateful children and to be happier & more grateful yourself!

Thanks so much for being here, for being a mom or dad, and for everything you do each and every day to be the best one you can be; and here's to all of us creating a better world, one child and one family at a time, starting with our own.
