    Crescent Park in Rhode Island

Crescent Park in Riverside, Rhode Island, became the home of Charles I. D. Looff and his family after leaving the Coney Island area. He was Americans Master Carver of carousels and amusement rides. He was also responsible for helping create the Pier in Atlantic City.

He later moved to Long Beach, California and built the Santa Monica Pier. His Carousel in Griffith Park was Walt Disney's inspiration to build Disneyland.

The Carousel is the only thing that remains of Crescent Park, but has become a National Historic Landmark.

You still have a chance to catch the Golden Ring on the Merry-Go-Round!
