Gulf CAD Profs Conducts Special One-day Seminar on the Importance of CAD
In a fact paced, highly technical environment, the skills and real life implications of Computer Aided Design amongst engineers, architects and other technical professionals are eminent. Gulf Cad Profs conducted a special one day seminar on the importance of CAD.
Important questions such as Why to learn CAD were addressed thoroughly. CAD is a computer-aided drafting program primarily utilized by architects, interior designers, and engineers. CAD is possibly best known for its ability to create blueprints without drafting tools.
A wide range of the latest innovations available from the CAD software family were introduced in this seminar, the event covered different ways to realize the existing CAD capabilities in students pertaining to technical industries such as engineering and architecture, tips were given to the participants to maximize their investments.
This seminar started discussing various assumption and perceptions that many CAD/BIM managers have little to no direct managerial authority over the staffers they support, yet they are still expected to get results. To make things worse, many times these managers are also engineers, architects or designers working under severe time constraints while expected to remain billable.
To address this issue the seminar presented strategies for peer to peer interaction with users and project managers that can help indivuals persuade people to comply with key CAD management directives like standards, file storage, training and inter departmental coordination.
The session was designed for engineers, technicians and managers of all disciplines. Exercises for this seminar were drawn from a variety of disciplines, including part design, facility layout, architectural drafting and schematics. Participants for each workshop were surveyed to determine their areas of interest and exercises were tailored to match the needs of each attendee independently.
The Director at Gulf Cad Profs, said, “We conducted this seminar with the aim of aptly marking what is an exciting new range of CAD software. The seminar tackled some of the key issues that different technical industries are facing today”
