Munich, Germany: Active people, healthy city

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     "I love Munich," says JeffGiral, who moved to the city last year. "You can do almost any kind of sport. I love to swim, to jog, to practice Capoeira..."
    - JacqueCNN, CNN iReport producer

    Hi everyone!

Let me tell you a secret first: Germany won the Soccer World Cup ONLY because more than half of the players of the German team live in Munich - the healthiest and most active city in the world. ;-)

I originally come from Colombia and moved to Munich one year ago. I experienced first hand that the time you come to Munich, you are immediately inspired to live healthy and be active. ALL THE TIME!

One reason for this is definitely the beauty of this city. You want to be outside, you want to be active, explore one of the biggest city parks in the world.

When you watch my video, you will see people exercise everywhere. They surf, ride their bikes, run, swim, or play soccer. We don't do it because "we have to because it's healthy". We do it because it's fun! It's the city's vibe.

In addition to that, Munich has rental bikes standing around all over the city, waiting to be used instead of cars. In the video, I take one of those bikes through the park.
I also like to take those bikes to work and when I arrive there, I have already had a nice morning work-out.

Enjoy the video and have a good day!

    Jeff
