This iReport is part of an assignment:
    An ode to neon lights

    Historic Landmark in Texas

On historic Camp Bowie Boulevard in Fort Worth, Texas, urban explorers can go from seeing major works of art in the Kimbell Art Museum, Amon Carter Museum, Modern Art Museum, and other museums and arts institutions that make up the Fort Worth Cultural District, to seeing 1950s-era motels several miles west of the District. Among the old motels, the distinctive-looking vintage neon sign for the Landmark Lodge truly is a landmark. For decades, Camp Bowie Boulevard served as a major transportation route between the city's downtown area and west Texas oil fields.
