Gigantic Lamppost crashes into Bank of America, Chicago

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Michael Roman was driving when he noticed a lamp post toppled over outside of the Bank of America building near the intersection of Roosevelt and Canal in Chicago, Illinois, Sunday evening. An officer who was already on the scene informed Roman that the lamp post fell after strong winds struck the area.

Roman said, "It's disturbing to me that heavy winds could topple down a large lamppost in a heavily trafficked area of the city."
    - taliaday, CNN iReport producer

Infrastructure issues in Chicago caused an enormous lamppost to crash into the Bank of America building at the intersection of Roosevelt & Canal. Police on the scene said the incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 27th due to "heavy winds." No one was injured, according to the CPD.
