    Chef Turns Childhood Chore Into Culinary Legacy


    Imagine walking into a kitchen, where you are shorter than the stove and you require a stepstool to reach the mixing bowl on the counter, where you will be provided with instructions to mix a cornbread batter from scratch and be expected to execute with perfection… Now imagine you’re only five years old! That is what, once aspiring doctor and unlikely cook, celebrity Chef Elliott Farmer had to endure as a youngster and inevitably grew to accept as fate.

    Chef Elliott was born to and raised by a myriad of exceptional cooks and his palate for rich flavors and diverse textures matured before he did. He actually experienced his first success with the creation of his grandmother’s southern-style cornbread recipe when he was only five years old and learned to perfect his craft as the years progressed. As a teenager, he worked as a busboy in a prestigious hotel and soon thereafter trained under three certified chefs who set him on his path to being the master chef he is today.

    Now an Author, Speaker, Personality and Radio Host, the Atlanta native, shares his passion for cooking and his collection of signature recipes tips with his community. He has been requested by various culinary institutions and restaurants to share his creations within the United States and abroad. In a recent interview, he insisted, “Cooking is my life! It takes some people a lifetime to experience the collision of their passion and purpose, mine occurred when I was just five years old. Since then, I’ve been living, both my passion and purpose.”


    For over thirty-five years, Chef Elliott has practiced his craft. He has owned two restaurants, successfully owned and operated Farmer’s Gourmet Catering for fifteen years and is widely known for his unique menus from soul food capitals to dishes that are sophisticated in flavor, yet true to their origins. His “soul food with a jazzy flair” combines casual and familiar with creative and authentic. He creates an experience that marries comfort, warmth and a fusion of soul flavors. This three-part combination creates the Chef Elliot experience.


    He is famous for his unique menus from soul food capitals to dishes that are sophisticated in flavor, yet true to their origins. His menus are casual, creative and authentic. As his roots stem from the south, he creates dishes that combine comfort with a fusion of ethnic flavors. His recipes, invites cooks to re-create the “Chef Elliott” experience at home, as includes 200 of his signature recipes, preparation tips and gourmet entertaining solutions.


    Chef Elliott’s Soulstice Recipes: Gourmet Entertaining Solutions is the second cookbook by, Chef Elliott, which is comprised of all the rudiments, required for a first-time cook, but is not too elementary for the kitchen vet. It was designed for one to create an authentic and creative dining experience, at home for a family or four--all the way to a party of a dozen.


    With this cookbook, Chef Elliott was not shy with sharing his signature and favorite recipes. He shared two hundred of his most cherished, ranging from fabulous appetizers to his appointed beverages, with at least three more courses in between. Some extreme care went into this publication, as it has alphabetized recipes and indexes as well as helpful hints pertaining to measurements, substitutions, calorie counting, food storage, spice selection and stocking your pantry.


    For the novices, he also included cooking terms and slow cooking tips. With countless copies sold already, his cookbook is proving to be the perfect tool for the seasoned cook, gift for the new cook and an heirloom for the generations of cooks to come.


    Accordingly, Chef Elliott applied his culinary wisdom, his bubbly personality, and his access to celebrities, industry experts and the general public, to the creation of an online radio show. His show highlights rising talents in the culinary and hospitality industry and is supported by celebrity chefs, family cooks, food creators, culinary authors and food networks. He made his debut on Blog Talk Radio, June 5, 2014, via the Survival Radio Network.

    Chef Elliott launched his broadcast, nationally, and is confident in his delivery of a show that will be enjoyed by many professional and at-home chefs all over the country. Chef Elliott spoke about his shows premise; “I am inviting other cooks to acknowledge the deeper gift and start cooking from their souls!” “That’s what my radio show will do.
