    Coney Island Parachute Jump

Only a few of the original Coney Island features remain standing and the Parachute Jump is the most easily visible of the remains. It was built for the 1939 Worlds Fair and was then moved to its current position in Coney Island. It was shut down permanently in 1964.  Copyrighted by Robert Ondrovic Photography
