This iReport is part of an assignment:
Travel photo of the day
Holyrood Abbey Ruins
My favorite travel photo from my trip to Europe in 2010 was one I snapped during a visit to the Holyrood Abbey Ruins in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I fell so much in love with how the sky formed the roof of the chapel that I took a ton of pictures. This one in particular caught my eye.
At first, I thought about trashing it because of how out of focus it was, but the more I looked at it, the more the blurriness mixed with the natural lens flare grew on me.
I never intended to capture a sunlit, blurred image, but four years later, I'm still glad I didn't delete it.
