“1 GOAL, 1 PASSION ”SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMPS LAUNCH ON TUESDAY, JULY 29th IN LANSING, MICHIGAN
Mateen Cleaves “1 Goal, 1 Passion” summer basketball camps presented by Grand Rapids, Mich. –based retailer Meijer. The three-day camps held in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing, Michigan, provide a platform to encourage children to make healthy choices for their minds and bodies. The camps focus on basic life skills including goal-setting sessions, self-esteem exercises, environmental awareness as well as health and nutrition education, character development, and basketball drills. The camps are sponsored in part by Coca-Cola and Fathead. Transportation for participating youth is provided by Dean Transportation.
WHEN: Tuesday, July 29th through Thursday, July 31st.
Two sessions will be held daily catering to different age groups;
Session I: 9 a.m. to Noon, ET. (8- to 12-year-olds)
Session II: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., ET (13- to 17-year-olds)

WHO: Mateen Cleaves will lead the camps daily and will be joined by NBA players and Spartans including the “Flintstones” Morris Peterson, Antonio Smith and Charlie Bell, plus MSU’s Andre Hutson, Travis Walton, Jason Richardson, Dujuan Wiley, Draymond Green and Robaire Smith.
