Norway - Besseggen ridge
This photograph is of the Gjende lake, taken from one of Norway's most popular hikes, the Besseggen ridge hike. The turqoise color of the lake Gjende seen in the picture is due to the deposition of rock flour by the river Muru. Thousand's of tourists undertake this hike every year and it can get pretty crowded on a good weekend here.
