Global warming and rising seas
Orleans, Massachusetts -- A 2007 nor'easter breached the land mass called Nauset Beach on Cape Cod. It created an inlet at Chatham on Cape Cod where the ocean now flows freely. This is what the cape looks like on a summer day. The water, by the way, is 58 degrees. Too cold for most. The fog on coast comes up from Chatham.
