    The lure of lighthouses

    Nubble Light

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     cfschramm changed the contrast here somewhat: 'I've been all over the island and through the house and light. I've flown over it. I've been around it in an aluminum boat. I've picked tourists up off the rocks and taken them to the hospital in the ambulance. It's just the Nubble. They put Christmas lights on it. York also does Christmas in July. '
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

This is Nubble Light, also known as Cape Neddick Light Station in York, Maine. Can't get near it in the summer so here are some shots the tourists don't see. The iron railing around the light itself has little lighthouses on it.
