Online employment playing major role in U.S. economy stabilization

Over one year ago, Envato Studios reported that in Q1 of 2012, online employment had risen by 66%. This huge increase has been directly linked to fields like search engine optimization, social media marketing and management, programming, mobile apps, and lead generation.

Doing a simple search on Indeed shows that over 8,000 positions are open for social media management at this very second. Many of these job listing are paying high-end salaries, some even reaching as far as $100,000+ per year. Even on a smaller scale, online employment has taken a huge rise. Denver Business Journal reported on July 30, 2014 that Colorado has recently boomed with online job ads - 300 more than usual to be exact.

Does this have any correlation to the stabilization in the U.S. job market and economy?
