Forget the Soup Nazi..Here comes "The Pickle Guy!"

I was at the annual Feast of St. Rocco yesterday and I met "The Pickle Guy!" Well, if you like pickles the way I do, then this guys for you. And he wont yell at you like the famous Soup Nazi to stand in line but he does request you use a fresh toothpick with each pickle taste. He offered free tidbits of pickles and spoonfulls of his fabulous jams. Everything is homemade and all natural ingredients. He even has horseradish pickles.
BTW, pickles are not only delicious but healthy for you, loaded in anti oxidants and low in calories. I ate a lot of them when I was growing up with my Ukrainian grandmother, in the cucumber state.
I bought the bread and butter pickles that had generous amounts of fresh onions in the container and the pear vanilla jam which was out of this world. I would not normally go for that combo but once tasted I was sold. I ate half the jar already and plan to go back today to get more.
If you are in the area "The Pickle Guy" is at the Feast of ST. Rocco on 3rd. St. area in Glen Cove, LI, NY. The feast is open from 3 to 10PM.
You can also contact the Pickle Guy by his website-
www.Facebook.com/BestPickleGuy or call his number or visit his locations.
I particularly like his story. He told me he had lost his job and fell on hard times, had a hard time finding work so since he had a food industry background he started making jams to give as Xmas presents etc, and people started complimenting him and his pickle and jam business got started.
It is raining but I cant wait to go to the feast this afternoon and get more of his jam. The strawberry is delicious too..
    Thank you.
