“Do you want to have fun in Lisbon?”
The Portuguese beautiful scenery, pleasant weather, white sandy beaches, delicious gastronomy, warm people and cheap prices are a heaven for tourism even for tighten pockets.
Night life is getting better and better specially, in Lisbon with lots of restaurants open late thru out the city and pubs located on old quarters like “Bairro Alto”, famous for the “Fado Music Houses” a traditional music of Lisbon similar to “Blues” that recently integrated as part of “UNESCO” World Heritage”.
In Lisbon, I visit a fantastic pub situated in one of the most typical quarters of the city, “Bairro Alto” where the fun goes on thru out the night with young and the not so young people walking along the narrow cobbled stone streets eating, singing and dancing until late.
The bar “CENA DE COPOS” (Rua da Barroca 105-107) It is now totally renovating, since the last time I visit. It is bigger, a great modern place with a modern décor and good combination of colors and lights. The music is done with a state of the art surround system, with a fabulous selection that pleases everybody, where you don't have to shout to be heard in a conversation and the people won't mind if you start dancing.
At "CENA DE COPOS" you can choose between a private table and a large run table for groups. The two bartenders, Sempre and Figueiredo", also owners, are friendly, professionals and always ready for a good laugh. The drinks are affordable and the variety it is almost endless. Now you can also eat for example“paella” and some other dishes without being worried that your wallet will be empty.
So, the next time in Lisbon, go to "CENA DE COPOS", like in a TV series "Cheers", “Where everybody knows your name" if you go often enough.
Have a Blast!!!... And tell them that John said Hi!
