    Elbow Reef Lighthouse on Elbow Cay in the Bahamas

    We went island hopping in the Bahamas in July, 2014. On this particular day, we took a boat from Treasure Cay off of Abaco to Elbow Cay.

    I took this picture as we were entering Hope Town Harbour by boat. The Elbow Reef Lighthouse, which is painted candy cane colors, was built in 1864.

    We climbed the 101 steps up to the lantern and were treated to gorgeous views of the pastel covered Bahamian cottages lining the bay below.
