    Rugged beauty of Scotland

I visited Scotland for the first time in May. The landscape is unlike anything I've ever seen, and the ruins all over the place are spectacular. No wonder so many films have been made there!

Photos 1, 2: Edinburgh Castle -- built right into the landscape.

Photo 3: The pinkish rocks of Loch Ness. I thought it looked like a very nice place indeed, not at all like a habitat for a scary monster.

Photo 4: Highland cattle are all over the place up north.

Photo 5: Pretty yellow flowers covering the landscape. If you go in the fall, there are purple flowers everywhere.

Photos 6,7: Eilean Donan Castle -- a very cozy castle seen in James Bond and other films.

Photos 8, 9, 10: Extraordinary beaches on the Isle of Skye. What a gorgeous rocky coast!
