Low´s Peak (4095.2 m), Kota Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Tram Anh Pham said, "The small city Kota Kinabalu itself is nothing special, but climbing the mountain is a "must" for those who love adventurous climbing and trekking." Pham traveled to Malaysia in 2011 to climb Mount Kinabalu and captured these images during her journey to the summit.

Photo 7 was featured as CNN's Travel Photo of the Day on November 5, 2014.

February 2011 I did the 3 day trek to the summit Low´s Peak (4095.2 m) of Kota Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia. We started at 7 am and when we arrived at the guest house which was located at ca. 3000 m, it was dark. We had been trekking 10 hours. After midnight, at 2 am we made our way to the summit. We had to start that early in order to be in time for the sunrise which was the main reason for the whole effort. It was cold, tricky and dark. But we made it and yes, watching the sun rise from the peak - it was one of the best moments of my life.
