    Flycatcher Parent Missing

Since we have been watching our Flycatcher Couple while they were house hunting, we have come to know their daily routine. I have to admit that we have a hard time telling which is the Mom & which is the Dad, but one of the parents is Missing! It has been 2 days now that we have only seen one parent tending the babies. I think it is the Mom who is still feeding the babies. She comes & goes from sunrise to sunset bringing the little ones bugs. The Dad would usually sit on the nearby tree or sometimes on top of the house while she was feeding, even peeking in the door on occasion while she was inside. I have shown this in the past stories following this little family. The past 2 days "she" has been feeding the babies & then sitting on top of the house after she is done. You can see that she is looking around & occasionally talks as if calling him? We hope that the Dad is just hanging out somewhere, taking a break from the loud little hungry mouths. It just doesn't seem that he would leave her after being such a good mate all this time. Mother Nature is especially brutal out here & there are many predators to watch out for. Fingers crossed he is safe!
The video shows her looking around from the top of the house & then she perches on another spot near their house & then finally onto the top of the nearby scrub bush.
You can hear the babies if you listen carefully when she is sitting on the top of the house. We still have not seen them & don't know how many there are.
We are Hoping he is safe & that we will walk outside to see both parents soon!
I will update any changes and of course when the little faces appear in the door!
