Some 350 tattoo artists and exhibitors converged in the German capital for the 24th Tattoo Convention Berlin. Fans of this popular body art were able to get pierced and tattoed by experts from Europe and the United States, including many from far away countries such as Argentina, China, Indonesia, Tahiti, South Africa, Brazil, Vietnam and Thailand among others. This year the Japanese tattoo style is very in and trendy. Visitors were entertained by shows on stage that included acrobatics, live bands, tattoo contests and the selection of the Miss Tattoo Queen. The highlight of the 3-day convention was the performance by the Superfly Suspensioncrew, a show with artists who were pierced with hooks and then suspended above the stage. The event was also honored by the presence of the Guiness Book of Records title holder for the most body piercings, Rolf Buchholz from Germany, who has 453 piercings (photo #7).
