Not many people have heard of the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean, but I urge people to visit this beautiful tropical destination. It is a haven for underwater diving enthusiasts as the surrounding ocean areas are protected and preserved. It is a whole other world beneath the ocean's surface with abundant coral reefs, vibrant fish of all shapes and sizes, and even sea turtles that will swim alongside you. We went snorkeling at Klein Bonaire, a small island beside Bonaire and got to swim with the fish and the sea turtles. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life! Bonaire is easily accessibly by cruise ship, which is how we discovered this spectacular island. As we approached, we could see the most brilliant shades of blue water with many sailboats drifting along. Bonaire is very unique in comparison to many other Caribbean nations as the island is quite flat and covered with cacti!
