This iReport is part of an assignment:
One of a kind
No doubt that Robin Williams was "one of a kind".
Why is it that you sometimes get a lump in the throat and almost or actually a tear in the corner of the eye when a big star goes away? ..
Well, it is not given that one gets this feeling, but when people who you have been raised to become "familiar" with on the television and film, you get a "relationship" with the person that is hard to describe.
For those who have never been a fan of something or someone special, this is madness and other designations, but for the others there is a little sensitive spot, because you have seen, been inspired, touched, amused and perhaps a little deflated by roles he had in such films as "Popeye," "Mork & Mindy", "Moscow on the Hudson," "Dead poets society", "Good morning Vietnam," "Hook," "Patch Adams" "Mrs Doubtfire" .. and the list is looong ..
This says something about the pressure these people are under, those who make their living to entertain us, the audience that is never satisfied. They are people who experience the same emotions as us, and depression is something you should not look lightly on, it is a condition which in many cases can not be cured ..
Rest in peace, "King of entertainment" Robin Williams - 1951-2014
