    In Memoriam

    A Light in the Darkness

For me, Robin Williams was greatness on every level...someone once described him as a true Renaissance man...a fitting summary. I am still disappointed he did not win the best actor award for Dead Poet's Society....a true call to the creative, fearless human spirit that lives in us all.
.....I believe his gifts made a universal impact that words cannot adequately gratify....his humor and wit, his genius, his willingness to go to the extremes of joy and terrible darkness in his acting portrayals. His great presence touched so many people all over the world. Even when I worked in a mental hospital with schizophrenics and deeply disturbed iindividuals, I listened to a small group of patients in a group session declaring their enthusiasm and admiration for him..."yeah I love that Robin Williams...he is really funny!"
And I thought....even here in this place, his Light has penetrated the darkness and brought laughter and entertainment to these troubled souls. I always wanted him to know. If I had the opportunity to meet him, I would have told him...I do not know what all you have suffered and sacrificed in this lifetime, but you have made a difference for all of us in this world....I just thought you should know.
....I loved Mr. Williams ....and I will miss him for a long time. Blessings to you wherever you have taken your light!
