Years ago, while working at a book store, i happened to meet mr. Robin williams. The thing that struck me most is how easy it was to talk to him. He had the ability to make you forget you were talking to a legend, he was completely down to earth & always with a smile. He'd come in to purchase a book. I told him i was a huge fan & really loved his work to which he replied with a smile & said 'thank you'. I asked him if i could have his autograph, without hesitation he said yes & proceeded to write a small message along with his signature. We shook hands & he left. The day i heard of his passing i opened up my copy of mrs. Doubtfire which houses his autograph & looked at it. It is always sad to hear of people who have passed away but it's more personal when you have actually met the person. He brought joy to so many, i feel really lucky to have had the chance to meet him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in these trying times. God bless robin williams, may he finally rest in peace.
