    political tension

This Morning as i was on my way to the office.. I saw some dissertation at a place called Wimpey in Port harcourt River states. broken glasses on the roads, damaged cars and buildings. the security operatives are seen on the scene and it appears they already brought some calm to the area with their vehicles parked around the flash points. I decided to document what was going on that was when i was attacked and my recording device hit off my hand by a restive young man. he said he said " I don't want to see any ameach person here" he attacked me and cut off from my neck my Identity card showing i am a reporter he also snatched my wallet and emptied the contents on the road he kicked at me and i found out that i was now surrounded by more individuals numbering about 20 i squeezed my way gradually through and escaped to a a safe distance. recent events indicates there was disturbance in the area due to a quarrel among a local ruler and members of his family. but i fear now it has been hijacked by politically motivated minds some persons have been feared dead within the last 12 hours from reports gathered from the area. the 2015 Elections is close and it should not be a surprise when flash points are created from now to mark territories between the two main opposition parties in the state.
