    Jakarta's traffic gridlock disaster

Once I watched Jeremy Clarkson of BBC's Top Gear complain about traffic jam in London. I can't imagine what would he say if he visits Jakarta and drives around the city.

With an area of 4,383.53 square kilometres (1,692.49 sq mi) and a population well over 28 million, Jakarta has 11 million motorcycles, 3 million cars and 500 thousand buses and trucks as per this year.

While there are a lack of roads, most of the existing ones are potholed beyond repair, with millions of people driving over it every day, some without a driving license and constantly disobeying traffic rules under the watchful eye of helpless policemen, greatly outnumbered.

Come and experience all this your self and I'm sure even Jeremy Clarkson will find it speechlessly memorable.
