It was the summer of 1986 and I was working at a small gas station in Kenwood, California. A man walked in and bought a soda and a candy bar, and I rang him up. As I handed him his change, I noticed it was Robin Williams. I asked him "are you Robin Williams?" He took a couple seconds and answered "yes I am." I then said "well it's nice to meet you" and he replied " it's nice to meet you too." He smiled, walked outside, picked up the pay phone and talked for about two hours, waving to others who walked by and recognized him, just like a regular guy would.... A very special memory of a very special man who will truly be missed.
