This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Summer of the supermoons

Weirdness, Dirty Len's, Lighting, Comet or UFO?

After a very long night of capturing images of the Super Moon on August 10 2014, I decided to  start clicking away not paying much attention to the settings or detail, actually hoping to catch a meteor.
After I moved the images to my computer files I noticed some odd colored circle patterns near the moon. In some they were headed downward, some to the side and some going upward..
They were not in every photo nor could I see them with the naked eye.
After researching some about moon bows, moon dogs as well other celestial events and finding images from other folks, I became enlightened others have captured the same.
In some of the photos I brightened and used extra contrast to make them clearer to view.
Even though I am still not sure what came out on on the images, I thought it was interesting and lots of fun.
