I was a young girl in my early 20s (I'm 55 now) and with a childhood friend. We were spending Thanksgiving as "orphans" because my family had been transferred out of state and hers was spending the holiday in LA. We were staying in the little mountain town of Arnold, in Calaverous County, Ca. We went into a restaurant and bar called Whiskey River Inn. We sat at a table and I looked up at the bar and said to my friend Debbie, "That's Mork From Ork"! We couldn't believe it! He came over to our table and said Hi and welcome. He was there spending the holiday with his family. He offered to buy us a drink and to play PackMan. So there we were kind of feeling sad as it was a first Thanksgiving for my friend and I without our families and we end up spending some time with Robin Williams having a drink and playing Pack Man! We were delighted! He then proceeded to do a 15 minute standup comedy bit by just going down the line of people sitting at the bar stools and "picking on" each one as he went. He was brilliant! I had not laughed so hard before or since that time. My cheeks hurt from laughing. He was a complete gentleman and a true professional. Even at that young age I could tell, wow this guy is really someone special! It is a memory and a story I have told many times and my five children love it as my "claim to fame". My friend Debbie was also a really funny person and she is no longer with us. Now I know two extremely funny people in heaven. I hope they get together and bring down the house!
