    In Memoriam

    Kuwait 2004

Not many words. I had the privilege to see him do stand up when I deployed to Kuwait. I was so bummed out for not being unable to see my daughters birth. He made me laugh that day for the first time. The energy inside the airplane hanger that day was unbelievable. After the show he stayed behind until every last autograph was signed for thousands of military. After the show, he was later found in the chow hall whereas we were all told to just leave him alone so he could eat in peace. It was tacos and beans and stuff. He was at a white table just like the ones in any school cafeteria all by himself looking tired from his USO tour; but still keeping his head up and smiling hello to everyone. One military member made his way over...then another...then another. Before you knew it, he was standing up doing stand up comedy at dinner! Encore! After he and everyone left I collected his food tray from the table. There was one bite taken out of his taco.
