    Robin Williams inspired me

I cried about Robin Williams' passing but I've never met him in person. The truth is that when I was extremely sick with post traumatic stress disorder to the point that I could not leave my home, I found that his movies, comedy acts and his philosophy helped me to feel a bit better. Each day I watched movies like "hook" and I found that for a few minutes or hours after I watched them, I could start to do the things I needed to do, like leave my house. It was therapy to me. I found hope in his personality and outlook on life. It was enough to lift the pain just enough to reach out and get some help. I watched him and laughed with him and then was able to go to therapy. Robin Williams was the reason I was able to get help. Now, ten years later, I am working in a professional job and have two beautiful children. Every day I still try to make somebody smile or laugh around me and then I feel a bit better about life. He was all about love, laughter and healing people. And it worked for me. Now he is gone and I am heart broken. I will always appreciate the gift he gave to the world and how he touched my life. Perhaps I can pass it on to somebody just enough to help somebody else overcome mental Health issues like I did thanks to humour. RIP Robin Williams, your smile will always be remembered.
