Travel snapshots: Best bird-watching
I am a realtor in Houston, Texas and photography is my hobby. I took this Black-bellied Whistling-Duck photograph on April 2014, in Terry hersey park, Houston, Texas near a small lake. The lake was surrounded by fence and the duck couple was on the fence for few moments and I clicked with my Nikon D 7000, Focal length135.0mm, Exposure time1/800s,Apperture F4.8, ISO value 800. Due to its unique appearance, this species is almost unmistakable. With an upright stance, long pink legs, and long neck, adult Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks are unlikely to be confused with any other species within their range. The belly is black, and the back, breast, lower neck, and cap are a rich chestnut brown. The face and upper neck are gray, and they sport a distinct white eye-ring.
