BreakingNews.ie hosts third annual measurement conference

For the third year in a row, Landmark Media’s website BreakingNews.ie will be hosting its Measurement conference on data analytics, this time at Abbey Theater in Dublin, Ireland. It will take place on September 10 and will run from 9AM to 5PM.

BreakingNews is a website that has been active since 2000, providing news on everything “from politics to showbiz.” The site is cross platform and fully-responsive, meaning it’s available for both Android and iOS devices, and changes its interface to provide the best user experience whether you’re on a computer, a phone or a tablet.

They have an impressive 100,000 fans on Facebook and their website received a whopping 1.9 million hits to almost 11 million pages on their website in July 2014, along with more than 38,000 hits on about 5.5 million pages within their app. They achieve this status by constantly interacting with their community and providing top-notch content.

The conference will feature some of the biggest movers and shakers in the digital media marketing world, who will share some of their best strategies and tips for those who want to make waves in the industry. Among the guests are Dena Walker of Irish International, Starcom MediaVest’s Head of Social Media Mat Morrison, Handmade Marketing’s owner Barry Hand, founder and CEO of Mobanode Shane McAllister, Paul Buckley of Aer Lingus, social media head, and James Whatley, Social Media Director for one of the most powerful and influential marketing agencies worldwide, Ogilvy and Mather.

This fall seems a popular time for industry shaking digital marketing conferences. In November, Las Vegas hosts Ungagged 2014—billed “The only SEO gathering with no limitations on what gets said and how much you can learn.”

Key speakers at Ungagged, an event organized by BHWconference.com, include Scott Stratten of Un-Marketing and online Entrepreneur, Erika Napoletano.

Such events attract some of the biggest name in internet marketing, and BreakingNews.ie promises to be no exception.

“We’re proud to be flying in the giants of advertising and PR to share their experiences in running social media campaigns, and delighted that we get to match them with some amazing local talents who are successfully marketing to the world,” said Damien Mulley, the organizer of the event.

Hosing the conference will be Rick O’Shea, a popular Irish radio personality on 2FM.

In the morning there will be a series of talks from some of the aforementioned professionals; afternoon workshops that will help attendees strengthen their skills and learn about new methods of effective digital marketing; a lunch break that will feature an unconference during which anyone in attendance will be able to take the main stage of the Abbey for 5 minutes and pitch ideas; and a closing talk that will bottom out the event.

Digital Editor of BreakingNews.ie Jill O’Sullivan added, “We are delighted to be associated with this event, particularly in such a fantastic location. We consider digital metrics as important as the content itself…We look forward to hearing what the different experts have to say on the day and are confident everyone who attends will learn something new.”

The event has three levels of pricing for different kinds of tickets, one of which was the “In the Dark” tickets which are now sold out, Early Bird tickets that went on sale in July which cost €147, and full price tickets that cover participating in the full day of events and includes lunch, for €247.
